Medicines Compendium 2008 - Purchasing Details

The Medicines Compendium 2007, published at the beginning of March, is available to purchase for those of you who do not qualify for a free copy (i.e. you are not an NHS healthcare professional). The Medicines Compendium 2008 is extracted from the electronic Medicines Compendium (eMC) and contains over 2500 pages of Summaries of Product Characteristics (SPC's) for prescription only, pharmacy and over the counter medicines from around 100 pharmaceutical companies.

Please note that the information contained within the Medicines Compendium is available on-line and free of charge via the electronic Medicines Compendium (eMC) at http://emc.medicines.org.uk. The eMC is updated daily and in real time by the contributing pharmaceutical companies and contains Summaries of Product Characteristics and Patient Information Leaflets, please ensure you take a moment to visit the site to view the latest changes.

The Medicines Compendium is published by Datapharm Communications Ltd.



 

For your information the cost of purchasing the Compendium is as follows:

  • £49 + £5 post and packaging, for orders within the United Kingdom

  • £49 + £40 post and packaging, for orders within the EU

  • £49 + £55 post and packaging, for orders outside the EU

    (Please note: the Compendium weighs approx 4kg)

    Payment is only accepted by cheque and BACS.
