Features of the new eMC website
- Browse the eMC by medicine name, active ingredients (generics) or pharmaceutical company

An enhanced basic search box at the top of every page:
- choose your search words from a fast drop down list of medicine or company names, or type in your own search terms
- choose whether to search in SPCs, PILs or both
- choose where to search for the words - in the medicine or company name, in the full document, or both

A redesigned and enhanced advanced search page:
- intuitive search boxes to find phrases and words that are present or absent in documents
- create complex search strategies using Boolean terms such as and, or, not
- filter your advance search strategy to include certain companies, legal categories or only discontinued products
- search for information in a particular section of an SPC
- search for discontinued products, legal categories or pharmaceutical companies

Improved search results page:
- the medicine's trade name and all the generic names are shown
- better use of space and the option to change the number of results displayed per page
- for full text searches, the search term is highlighted in the search results
- The home page shows the latest SPC and PIL changes and can be filtered by document type, type of change and date range
- Access other sources of medicines information from Datapharm
- A new and more colourful layout makes it easier to navigate the site
- 'Plain English' is used to ensure the language throughout the website is easy to understand
- Improved help manuals, advanced search page tool tips and a glossary of terms
